Camp Counselor -- Counselors live in cabins with 8-10 campers and become leaders and role models for the campers. They are responsible for safety and leadership in a specific recreational activity each week, participating in group games and recreation, and leading morning devotions in the cabins. Counselors are a vital part of the camping program as they do their best to carry out the aims and objectives of the camp.
Kitchen Staff -- An assistant cook is needed who would work with the head cook in food preparation, serving during mealtimes, and clean up. Food service is a vital part of our summer camp program.
Head Lifeguard / Recreation Assistant -- This individual would work with other lifeguards during all camper swim times and assist with some pool maintenance. The Head Lifeguard would also assist the Program Director with recreation duties such as evening games and camper tournament.
Office Assistant -- Helping in the office involves making announcements, helping with homesick campers, handling campers' spending money, and various other tasks.
Media Assistant -- The media assistant will help capture the camp experience during daily activities with a combination of GoPro and DSLR cameras as well as, helping facilitate the media needs of all speakers, missionaries, teachers and worship leaders during meeting times. A basic knowledge of sound equipment and computer software (i.e. Pro-presenter, Keynote, PowerPoint, Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere Pro) will be helpful but not necessary. .
Summer staff come for a week of training before campers arrive. This week is designed to give staff a clear understanding of their responsibilities and provide training in these areas. This includes specific training in leading cabin devotions, leading recreational activities, and how to lead a young person to Christ. We want to provide staff members with training and experience that will be helpful in their future relationships, jobs, and ministries. Staff are not paid for this week but receive $175 a week plus room and board and insurance for eight weeks of camp.
